Lake Martin with the Family

We all went down the road a few miles to enjoy Lake Martin for a week with most of my family last week. Our wonderful neighbor is kind enough to let us use his lake house when he's not using it, so we jumped at the chance to enjoy a week with my sister and her family and my parents. The week was full of good times - morning swims, paddle boat rides, watermelon, cold beer, board games, and lots of giggles with the kids. We also managed yet another group picture, and we completely blame Queenie for allowing Jacks to have his hat, sunglasses, and paci in the picture.

Traveling anywhere, no matter how near or far, with a toddler and an infant can be exhausting, so we're happy to be home despite how much we enjoy being with family on our favorite lake.

Although, our time here at home is somewhat limited. As long as some references check out, we will be having our floors refinished in two weeks. So, we have to move the majority of our house out the door before it can be done, and we are going to be staying elsewhere while all this goes down. We are so lucky that one of our friend's parents keeps an apartment in town for extended stays that happens to be empty right now, so we will be occupying it for a week or two while our house gets transformed! Given how much I have to do, this post is already longer than intended. Please enjoy some pictures from our trip, because I need to stop typing and start clearing the book shelves.

Should I do before and after pictures of the house? Maybe I can get on one of those swanky design blogs....

Jeanla was examining a splinter in her foot while Jacks copied her. Laura was smiling pretty for the camera despite the foot examination going on next to her.

Nealy was so good and sweet all week.

Jacks was NOT good and sweet all week - good thing he's got his Queenie to depend on when all else fails.

Jeanla was doing some lake studies....

Jacks was following her lead, as usual...

We managed to get some gorgeous pictures of the gorgeous Laura. She's at an age where she runs from the camera, but her Uncle Joe charmed some lovely shots out of her.

We miss everyone so much already. Until next time.... :)

So much fun! Okay Nealy and Ryan could seriously be sisters. That picture of her is so sweet. I don't know if it is better than Jack's naked butt pic!
