I like Peggy Rathmann's work, in particular "Good Night Gorilla" & "Officer Buckle & Gloria". I also like the work of Kevin Henkes such as "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" or "Chrysanthemum". I admire much of the work of Lois Lenski. A beautiful bedtime book that we come back to time and time again is "Time for Bed" by Mem Fox, with lovely illustrations by Jane Dyer. Oh, and "If You Give A Mouse a Cookie" is an old favorite..."Harry the Dirty Dog" is always good for fun and I still love looking at the wonderful Richard Scarry books....I could go on & on, and I guess I kind of already did...:-)
