Art Show

The Raven

Shot Down

Two of Joe's pieces were accepted into the 10th Annual Juried Art Exhibition for the Auburn Arts Association. The show is currently on display in the gallery at the Jan Dempsey Art Center, and it will be moved to a display at the Auburn City Fest next weekend. The pieces were selected by the curator at the Jule Collins Art Museum here in Auburn, so I am especially proud that Joe's beautiful pieces made it into the show. And, on top of all of that, The Raven was among the 7 artworks out of 50 on display that received a merit award! I missed the awards presentation as I was running up and down the hall outside the gallery after Little Buddy. He busied himself with finding water fountains and power outlets and smearing cookie hands on the walls (a sweet old man was kind enough to give him a chocolate chip cookie - yea!). So, I missed my sweet husband's great moment, but we will all enjoy the check he received. Hooray!

If you are able, please get over to see these wonderful works at Jan Dempsey, or catch them at City Fest. They will be up inside the Nunn Winston House. Let us know what you think!

Wonderful work! Congratulations!! Wish I was closer to come see both pieces in person. I guess I'll have to be contented to bask in your glory virtually.
